Essential Duties & Responsibilities

TGTG is currently seeking an AI Integration Engineer to bridge the gap between AI model development and production deployment within enterprise cloud environments. The candidate should have enterprise-level experience in supporting customer IT operations while maintaining and working within a 24x7x365 environment. This role focuses on integrating machine learning and AI solutions into existing systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure (especially Microsoft Azure), data engineering, and AI/ML deployment pipelines.
The candidate will be responsible for supporting the organization’s technical hosting environments and leading the deployment of new technologies. Proficiency in virtual machine implementations, as well as backup and recovery solutions, is essential. The role also demands the ability to produce clear, comprehensive documentation and system diagrams.
An ideal candidate is someone who demonstrates a strong enthusiasm for learning emerging technologies and staying current with industry advancements.

Responsibilities:
 
  • AI Model Integration: Connect AI models and solutions with existing infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and seamless integration across platforms.
  • Deployment & Automation: Deploy machine learning models into production environments, including setting up CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring systems.
  • Data Engineering: Handle data preprocessing, ensure data availability, and set up systems for data collection, storage, and processing.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor the performance of deployed models and systems, identify issues, and implement improvements for scalability and reliability.
  • Infrastructure Management:
    • Plan, maintain and manage the current infrastructure environment within the federal customers perimeter, to ensure uptime and reliability (Operations & Maintenance)
    • Research, design, deploy, provision, and document new technologies implemented within the environment
    • Experience working with Cloud Service Providers, including Microsoft Azure
    • Monitor and control consumption, of Azure Government Cloud, with input from the federal engineering team
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Ensure AI systems comply with federal security standards (e.g., ISMA, FEDRAMP, NIST) and participate in cybersecurity updates and audits.
    • Participate with the Information Security partners and implement cybersecurity updates to the system and provide evidence of compliance or mitigation
    • Set up new processes for our Azure Government Cloud environment to include data migration, backup, recovery.
  • Administration
    • Provide reporting metrics to Project Manager and Federal team for infrastructure run within the environment
    • Provide support when needed (nights and weekends for deployments or incidents)
    • Work independently in a dynamic environment
    • Collaborate with data scientists, cloud engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure end-customer success.
    • Create detailed technical documentation, including system architecture, integration workflows, and operational procedures.
    • Ability to work weekends or overtime as required
 
Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or equivalent (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • 5+ years of experience with Cloud Infrastructure architecture and management within Microsoft Azure environments
  • 3+ years of experience with Active Directory and multiple operating systems
  • Experience with Azure AI services, including OpenAI, Azure ML, and AI Agent Service.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server maintenance, patching, and upgrades
  • Knowledge of web services environments, languages, and formats, including RESTful APIs, HTML, JavaScript, XML, KML, SOAP, and JSON
  • Experience with programming skills in Python, SQL, R, or similar languages.
  • Experience with Data integration, Cloud data store or Data Warehouse, Azure Data Lake, or Azure Synapse Link
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services integration.
  • Experience with Government Contracting or solution development at the Department of Veterans Affairs (or other Federal Agency) is a plus
  • Understanding cloud security requirements, including FISMA, FEDRAMP, Impact Level, NIST, etc. a plus
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills, including the ability to communicate with brevity and clarity to government clients and develop work products that meet professional quality standards with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to schedule, organize, and facilitate virtual meetings and summarize outcomes.
  • Ability to self-organize, balance workload, complete tasks on time (without reminders), proactively seek out assignments, and offer improvements to client delivery.
Formal Education:
  • Bachelor of Science degree required
